Norway Massacre: The Killer's Mind - Special Premieres
August 8 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) on Discovery Channel
July 22nd 2011, a day now indelibly ingrained in Norway's
history, is the date Anders Behring Breivik killed eight
people by setting off a bomb outside government headquarters
in Oslo. He also embarked on a 90-minute shooting spree,
resulting in the death of 69 teenagers on Utoya Island.
Breivik calls his actions "atrocious but necessary",
but exactly who is this man, and what led him to act? Through
psychological analysis NORWAY MASSACRE: THE KILLER'S MIND
examines the mind and the motives of the self-confessed
assassin who is responsible for these heinous killings.
This program provides new insight into Breivik's motives
by some of the world's leading experts on criminal psychology,
including Professor David Wilson and Johns Hopkins University's
Katherine Newman, analyzing his likely psychological journey
during that day and asking just what drove him to orchestrate
and carry out a plan of carnage.
Weaving together the moments leading up to this tragedy,
the documentary also charts the hour-by-hour events from
the time of the bomb set off in Oslo, to the cold-blooded
shooting of defenseless young people on the idyllic island
of Utoya. In addition, the special will provide first-hand
accounts from eyewitnesses and survivors who personally
suffered the tragedy.

The Great Food Truck Race - Season Premiere August
14 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on Food Network after the finale of
Food Network Star -- regular slot Sunday @ 9 PM
Hosted by Tyler Florence, the series features eight of
the top food trucks in the country battling for a life-changing
$100,000 grand prize, double the cash prize awarded in season
one. The trucks spend one wild weekend in each city not
only selling specialties from their mobile kitchens, but
also competing in extreme challenges like butchering their
own meat for barbecue in Memphis and foraging the mountains
of Denver for wild mushrooms.
In the season premiere, Tyler greets all of the teams at
the picturesque Malibu Pier and sends them on their first
Truck Stop Challenge: to create an inventive dish with one
lobster and all the farmer’s table ingredients they can
hold. After award-winning chef and food truck operator Susan
Feniger chooses the winner, the trucks head to Las Vegas
and are confronted with their first Speed Bump – Tyler spins
a large wheel containing numerous food truck problems and
lands on ‘out of propane,’ so the teams must proceed without
use of this necessary fuel. At the end of two days in Vegas,
the team that sells the least is sent on the road home.
The cross-country route then takes the teams to Salt Lake
City; Denver; Manhattan, Kan.; Memphis and Atlanta where
the competition intensifies with more grueling challenges
– leading up to the final battle between the two top trucks
in sun-splashed Miami.

Secret Access: UFOs On the Record - 2-Hour Premiere
August 25 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on HISTORY
95% of all UFO sightings can be explained. The rest cannot…and
they demand to be taken seriously. History is filled with
accounts of new phenomena that are misunderstood and ridiculed.
Galileo was charged with heresy for his observations about
the universe. Einstein’s general theory of relativity was
dismissed by many as a conspiracy.
Now, a former Air Force general, a retired Air Force colonel,
a former FAA executive, and other credible witnesses are
stepping forward to reveal something that nobody would believe:
first-hand encounters with UFOs. The film features in-depth
accounts by people who are willing to risk their jobs and
reputations to speak out about their extraordinary experiences.
The film focuses on claims that cannot be ignored: sightings
over a nuclear-armed military base near Phoenix, a forest
in England, a small city in Belgium. These remarkable eyewitness
stories are illustrated with actual source materials such
as footage, radar images and voice recordings from NASA,
the Air Force and the FAA. Although the government has determined
such episodes to be “insignificant,” records have nonetheless
been confiscated, and the experts were sworn to secrecy…until
now.

(ET/PT) on Investigation Discovery
It's the worst nightmare of anyone wrongfully accused of

one such catastrophic conviction with the story of Christopher
Ochoa and Richard Danziger, Texas teens condemned for murdering
20-year-old Nancy DePriest in 1988. Under pressure by interrogators,
Ochoa falsely confessed to the crime and also implicated
Danziger, eventually earning them each a life sentence.
It was later discovered, after a true confession from already-convicted

Big Sexy - Series Premiere August 30 at 10 p.m.
(ET/PT) on TLC
The image-conscious industries of fashion and modeling
are difficult to penetrate. With trends and looks that dominate
the urban scenes, Americans have grown accustomed to perceptions
of what is hip and forthcoming. BIG SEXY New Yorkers Leslie,
Tiffany, Audrey, Nikki and Heather hope to expand and revise
this commonly-accepted idea of what is beautiful and sexy
– giving viewers a candid look into their lives as confident
plus-size women who are shooting for the stars with their
careers.
From designing clothing to booking modeling gigs, BIG SEXY
will follow the ladies as they take over Manhattan to make
plus-size sexiness more mainstream. Weight bias is notoriously
rampant in their chosen industries, and it is their mission
to prove that a bigger girl – the girl that most Americans
can relate to -- can break the mold and change the fashion
and cultural norms that have restricted and rejected them
for so long.
Each episode will feature the women as they attend major
industry events, parties and opportunities, all while giving
a candid peek into the balancing of their personal, dating
and family relationships as plus-size women. They are big,
they are beautiful, and they are not sitting at home waiting
for life to happen. They know better than anyone that real
women can be sexy with curves -- no matter what society
says.
